Champions League: Everything is on the line in Group D

Every team can still top the Group

Eintracht Frankfurt kept their hopes alive as they beat Marseille 2-1 to earn their first ever home win in the Champions League, and move up to the third place in Group D.

The other game in the group saw 1-1 draw between Tottenham and Sporting CP, a result that keeps everything possible on the final round of the group stage in the Champions League, as all four teams can still go through to the Knockout stage.

In England, Tottenham though they won the game in the 95th minute after a good second half display where Spurs battled back from Marcus Edward’s opener and leveled the score in the 80th minute through Bentancur, but VAR intervened in the 95th minute to cancel Harry Kane’s goal, to keep the result at 1-1. Now Spurs must go to Marseille and avoid defeat to qualify for the knockout stages.

Eintracht will go to Lisbon against Sporting have everything in their own hands for that final game, while Marseille will host the Spurs in a must win game for the home side.
