Tottenham are confident about agreeing a new contract with Antonio Conte
Conte’s current deal in north London expires at the end of the season.
Tottenham are planning to celebrate the first anniversary of Antonio Conte as a head coach of the first team, by awarding the Italina Tactician with a new contract keeps him for long time with the north London team.
The former Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan coach has been a success so far, guiding the team to the Champions League in the end of the last season, and sustaining the presence of Tottenham among the top four teams in the Premier League during this season, as Spurs are currently at the third position in the league table with 26 points after 13 matches.
Today, The Athletic has reported that Tottenham directors are confident that they can convince Conte to commit for a longer period, as his current contract expires at the end of this season. But there is an option within that contract to extend it.
Tottenham board supported Conte in the last two transfers market spending nearly 200 million pounds on bringing stars such as Dejan Kulusevski, Ivan Perišić, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur.
Conte has never managed a team for more than three seasons, as the longest duration the Italian had in one job was his spell at Juventus between 2011 and 2014.
