Match report: Lady Luck smiles on the Gunners at Elland Road

Arsenal survived the home team’s pressure and claimed the whole points in a tight affair against Leeds United, in game week 9 of the Premier League.

It was Bukayo Saka’s Goal that led the gunners to the three points, which was the only goal of the game.

The hosts truly showed a spirited performance in the second half and wasted a lot of chances with some heroic defending from the visitors accompanied by an outstanding performance from the goalkeeper.

Leeds had the chance to level the game at the 64th minute when the referee awarded the home team a penalty, but Patrick Bamford missed the target with his shoot.

Man of the match:

It was an outstanding performance from Aaron Ramsdale with 4 important saves, but Gabriel Magalhães caught the eyes with a rock solid performance, as the Brazilian defender produced tremendous defensive statistics, with 4 clearances, 4 blocked shots, 3 interceptions, 3 tackles and won 8 out of 9 duels.

Disappointing Performance:

It was Patrick Bamford, without any doubt.

Leeds striker featured in the game with the start of the second half, but the English striker was so wasteful, by missing 2 big chances and losing all the 8 duels he had in just 45 minutes of playing.
